Hi everyone,
I'm a British girl from London.:p
I'm a strict vegy (have been for 16 years) and generally take care of my health (don't smoke etc). I drink about once a month.
I LOVE food, cooking, going out for, eating it lol, so this detox is going to be extremely challenging (I usually eat 7-8 times a day, sometimes more).
I am 5'3 and weigh 114 lbs. My weight has gone from 90-165 lbs in the past 3 years.
I have started my detox today and trying to gather as much info & advice as I can. At the moment I think we (my partner-a meat eater and I) are doing it for 10 days although that may change to longer.
Thanks for having me xxBPxx

Welcome - do they have promqueens in London?! ha ha

It's great your partner is joining you on your detox - now when you say detox do you mean raw food or are you doing a juice fast?

one thing i will say is that if you are eating raw foods, eat as much as makes you satisfied - raw food is not about deprivation. i eat many, many times each day!

let us know how we can support your journey!

When you detox you want to do the same thing as when you are eating raw foods. You want to support your body with healthy practices so that good health will result. Have a fun journey.

Sorry I wasn't clear :-)
I am a strict vegy all the time & my parter and I are doing a 10/14 day raw food detox.
My partner is not a vegy
We want to detox for 10 or 14 days and then once a month for 7 days-pure raw.
Jay's diet: chocoate, crisps (potatochips says the British girl lol)meat (yuk)coke and a few good meals in between-NOT good!
My diet: Okay I guess,I rarely eat eggs, if I do they must be organic free ranged. My diet is probably 60% complex carbs. I eat junk food rarely and do binge.
Today was fine. Although I had lots of pasta yesterday so I may not be feeling quite as fabulous tomorrow!
We stacked the fridge today and we're really excited to see how it goes,
Thanks a lot for the support xx

Oh and PS:
Unfortunetely the 'Prom' is usually something we can only fantasize about via cheesy but fabulous American teen movies-most of which I own I'm sure. Proms rarely happen in London, sometimes in the suburbs they have them but it's nothing like yours *sigh*!
Luckily for me, one of the biggest nightclubs in the capital held a 'Sunnydale Highschool prom' and I won Prom queen there, I was on a 2 page spread apparently lol, I didn't manage to get a copy of the paper, but still WOW :D :D scrumptious memory I can tell you xxxxxx

Too funny... Well, I hope that you two have lots of good stuff come your way. It's hard to go back to any other diet forever once you've tried raw. It just feels so darn good!

Promqueen,

Believe me, you didn't miss anything - if someone ever wanted to blackmail me, they could do it with my prom picture (and date!) Yikes, chills just thinking of the fashion nightmare (think 80's and Madonna...)

Let us know what works for you and your boyfriend and what you discover along the way.

Oh, before I forget, are there any raw food restaurants in London that you know about? I'll be there at the holidays.

Best, Alicia
