What's the best way to store nuts?

I have most of my nuts in the fridge, in a plastic or glass container. Unless they are still in their shell, than they won't get rancid, but if they are shelled, they are best kept in the frigde. ;)

Thanks Karin. My husband thinks they need to air out. I agree that keeping them in the fridge is good idea.

At $21/lb. :eek: I want to make sure my pine nuts stay fresh...

You're welcome , just make sure it's an airtight jar you are storing your pine nuts in. :)
