Since I believe so powerfully in thought and the spoken word, I choose to call myself what I am trasmuting into. The more I speak of this to myself, the easier my transitioning will be

So what does someone that eats only raw food call themselves?

A raw foodist? A raw fooder?

I prefer to call myself a raw vegan. Raw food can also translate to meat and dairy, which I do not do.

Best of luck to you starborne!

I've been "trying" to say raw vegan. (feel like I lie to myself b/c I keep messing up)

and when I tell someone raw vegan, I get weird looks. But I'm not hiding it to anyone so it's getting easier to say. :)

when I tell someone raw vegan, I get weird looks.I just tell people I am a fresh garden foods eater and I don't get any weirder looks then I do when I push my grocery cart thru the check out line. HeHe :)

The tell-tale sign of a raw foodist is having the cashier ask "what is this"? about at least one produce item in your cart EVERY FREAKIN TIME! Lol.

actually answering the question, when I think about it, I call myself a "living foodist".... because people don't really understand the concept of raw... they tend to think "foods that are unripe or sushi..." rather than fresh fruits and veggies... that and "living foods" sounds more inspiring to me.

ROFLMAO ! That happened to me yesterday! And using my 'advantage card' means NOTHING ! Absolutely NOTHING ! I got no 'savings' on produce for being a supposed preferred customer at Ingles.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions.

So true. Happens to me even in a natural foods co-op. ha.

Raw Vegan seems the most fitting for me.

Hey, I'm not too into labels - I've heard raw foodist or living foodist - the former sounds like unripe food or raw meat (a bit harsh to my ears) and the latter sounds as if I am eating living breathing things (which maybe I am, but it still freaks me out to think of it this way).

I could say I eat a raw vegan diet, but I am not opposed to consuming honey, and then it leaves a person open for opposition ... so I've been thinking about freshetarian - that sounds best to me.

Yo, Yo,

Most people just call me a "freak".

When people ask about my lifestyle, I just say I eat a lot of fruits and veggies

Peace,

so I've been thinking about freshetarian - that sounds best to me.

I like that alot ! It covers not only food, but many other aspects of how I choose to live.

This isn't so much what I'm telling other people, or necessarily labels -- it's what I'm telling myself in this transmutation from cooked to raw. In other words, manifestation of my desires.
I KNOW from my experience the words I use, my self-talk manifests. For example, if I say "I am tired" and continue to say it, I continue to experience the feeling of being tired. Not only that, it attracts other thoughts in my head that are less than high in vibrational frequency (this sucks, he suck/she sucks) and I perpetuate a condition.

The more I consciously observe my emotions and feelings on a given subject, the better I am in determining what words, phrases and thoughts or limiting beliefs are contributing to my joyeous (or not) experience in life. I can either create and experience by default, or I can deliberately create by chosen thought and word. Hence the reason for my question.

Thank you everybody for your input.

I've only encountered the weird looks once by each person. usually the look is weird b/c it's a curious look. then I explain then they just go about like nothing. I still don't eat in the breakroom b/c i don't like to explain anything. i'm difficult. :)
