I got home from work yesterday and my 9 tray Excalibur had arrived!! I haven't even taken it out of the box yet (tooo excited!)

(I hope I'm putting this in the correct thread 'cause this is a food issue).

My team at work is celebrating my work anniversary and usually employees have a local restaurant cater. Nothing fancy, just "finger" type food. I'd really like to do it myself and have a raw menu. I've never used a dehydrator before so should I seek out a raw chef in the area(I know one) or should I try to do it myself? This would be for about 20 people.

If I can't tackle the whole thing, should I just do desserts? What type of menu would you suggest?

jaydee,

if you think its' not too much work, do some of the recipies in Alissa's book for the 4 week menu plan. if you don't have the book, it's definitely worth having as you begin to use your dehydrator.

One simple thing to start with in terms of the dehydrator is to make crackers (maybe the flax crackers) for the party - they are so easy and pretty and very versatile.

hope that helps, Alicia
