Hello and question regarding storage

Hi, I go by Sus and I am breaking into the fresh/raw/living realm. So glad to find this site.

I have had sprout seeds in 5 gal buckets for long term storage. I have heard that the lids must be pulled off so the sprouts can get some air. Does any one know how often this should be done and how long to leave the lid off?

Well it sure makes since for everything living to BREATHE....I have Never thought about it before. Air will CRAWL into most everything.

I have had Alfafa seeds for years in a Jar and they still sprout. I am sure everything should have a Roll over date........even US......I guess that is one reason we are RAW..To Lenghten ours...
