I'm wondering who plans on NOT being raw just for 1 day (Thanksgiving) because of different reasons, like family, or traveling, etc. I'm moving and won't be able to uncook or go to family's home, etc., so hubby and I will be eating in a restaurant, which of course will be serving all the traditional things. I will eat salad, and anything raw I can find, but I'll probably not be able to resist dessert like pumpkin or pecan pie and maybe dressing (but of course no turkey). Happy Thanksgiving! :D

that's my current dilemma.. i don't want to be NOT raw- maybe i should avoid all thanksgiving dinners lol (well that's NOT a way out).. i'm from Ukraine anyway, Thanksgiving is not my holiday. But i already got 2 invitations for dinners- my host family and my boyfriend's family.. I'm still trying to decide what to do

I'm going to stay all raw for Thanksgiving and the rest of my life as the raw food life style is a L O N G term commitment for me. I understand "situations",, and wish you a happy thanksgiving :)

I plan on staying raw on Thanksgiving. My dilema is, I am cooking!!! All of the southern staples: greens, candied yams, mac and cheese etc. At this point I don't feel the least bit tempted. I am actually grossed out and I think this is the last year I will do this. My family loves my cooking and I only went raw a week ago and comitted to cooking in May. Good luck to everyone else. The only thing that may make me slip is stress eating from my drama filled family.

I'm sorry, but the subject/topic of this thread is just not appropriate for this board. If one isn't going to be raw on Thanksgiving (or any other time) that is your prerogative, but that's not really something we need to be discussing here. Sorry!
