I am a 20 year old girl from the cold North. I am currently a vegan trying to make the transition to the raw food lifestyle. After seeing Alissa Cohen's DVD at a friend's house, I got really excited about eating live foods.

It took me a while before ordering Alissa Cohen's book and DVD, but I am expecting them in the mail any day now :D
And today I made my first raw recipe, being a raw apple pie, which was very tasty. In spite of my lousy blender! :)

I am really excited to be here and I look forward to sharing the raw food experience. :)

Welcome - I found Alissa' book priceless in the beginning because she gives you a shopping list and some reciples to start with - it makes it manageable.

:D Welcome to RFT....I think you'll love the blueberry pie, everyone seems to love it at my house. I remember how excited I was to get Alissa's book and DVD, my husband actually got it for me for my birthday. It's been well worth it...I've read it several times, my daughters read it, my sons read it and I've loaned it out to a friend. Needless to say, my copy is getting worn but that's what happens to good books....you'll love yours.
