Hi all,
Well, I went ahead and made a green drink with the juicer and it was kind of a big job - perhaps because that is the first time I've used it. I used the recipe from Alissa's book. Wow! It made 2 very large glasses. Not the most tasty drink I've ever had, but I know it is the healthiest! The cleanup wasn't so bad either - I was pretty fussy about doing a good job as the juicer cost me a small fortune and I want to take care of it. But I look at it as a real investment in getting better health - much better! I bet that my husband would be alive today if I had known all this 20 years ago and had done it for him. Hope you all are having a happy day. Does anyone know if you can put leftover green drinks in the fridge (covered) for a couple of hours if you can't finish it? I am finishing mine though.
Sue.

I know what you mean. I think my grandma would have been in better health and avoided getting cancer completely if I could have implemented what I know now 10 years ago.

The green drink sounds yummy!

Green juice can taste really good, but you have to play around with different flavors. I just had a celery and orange juice today and it was pretty good. Celery was the only green vegetable I had left and two oranges was all the fruit I had. It was a very pretty color. I hate juice that looks brown.

I love green juices! I agree with Dj 247 that you have to play around to find a combination that you like. There are so many different combinations, and there is no need to be drinking a juice that doesn't taste good to you!

I believe it's okay to store leftover juice covered, and in the fridge for a while. I sometimes make juice in the morning and bring it to work and store it in the fridge here until lunch or afternoon and it still tastes fine. I've also made green juice in the evening and had it the next day.

Enjoy your juice. :)

Thank you so much for answering my questions. I just found this post now while searching for mock chicken salad which I am trying to copy and paste. Do you think I've been able to do it? A friend showed me how yesterday and I still can't seem to get it. But I'll keep trying. I've been adding apple ( a whole one) to Alissa's drink and it is fine. I am still so thrilled to have found this forum and all you wonderful health conscious people. And I haven't stored any juice overnight yet as I just drink it right up. Think I'll go make one up right now - to keep me going 'til I figure out supper!
