How are we all getting through the month of December? Winter is hard to get through in a cold climate, even w/o chronic pain, so staying the course to any measurable degree is a victory. It's been tuff so far for me, but at least no real flare -ups, and only a handful of food choice indiscretions. I ate a whole bag of Rosemary olive oil potato chips,( I have avoided most of the nightshades for several years, giving up my beloved peppers last summer, still having a jalapeno now and then) and too many organic chocolate truffles. Alot of multiple pain issues going on and not alot of energy lately to prepare my veggies, even for juicing. I haven't been gettin enough greens, cuz salad feels so cold, and I found out on Christmas day, I have lost my desire for the green smoothies. The gatherings haven't really been difficult, I just have my own food, it's the daily stuff. I am trying though and had my first real salad in awhile yesterday. It was loaded with the best stuff, but I applied the eight simple rules for food combining. But today I just didn't eat much. Only 3 or 4 months to go and we'll have new hope for warm days in Spring.
Hello Lavendula,
we ate some shop bought stuff for Christmas as I was unable to mentally get into alternatives and I feel awful now. I think it is a question of getting organised.

Blix, I hope this is a better year for you, and today a better day, and your pain will become less as you go more raw, and learn more ways to have satisfying food. I can share some of what I have found to be comforting. I just don't really try to recreate my former cooked foods or flavors. I don't remember if you are juicing, but it does help me, I was doing alot for several mos. but have slowed down some. Just trying to do constant detoxing, so I don't have to experience the major symptoms over again.
I don't do New Years Resolutions, but I do need to get my day/night rythym fixed, here I am at almost 3 am. Just checking in on all the raw stuff as things have been busy and exhausting. It has been nice to be out of the house, seeing and being with family and others, we had some laughing good times, that I cherish. I have gotten into a few bad food habits, that I am definately suffering from, but working to get back on track. gotta hit the rack now, g'nite.

FOr those suffering with joint pain or inflamation ,google the water cure. It has been a godsend for myself and family. We take about 1/2 -1/2 teaspoon of salt with it, very important. Good luck
I will look at the water cure today and let you all know.

I haven't been here this week, just checking in, havin sort of a rough time. What medicines do you usually take, that you just won't take them for a week, while you are trying the boswellia and white willow?
I am prescribed Sulphasalazine. I also take ibuprofen when the pain is very bad.

I have had ongoing flare-ups, and just found out I'm have hypothyroidism. I have only checked in recently,w/o chiming in. Typing is too much. I will still chek in,but will be busy as my daughter is getting married in a few months. I just want to be well enough to participate in the planning, and preparation. I am already exhausted and struggling with the daily stuff.
blix--I hope you are doing okay, I don't know if you have been around.
Be well.:)
