Just getting started on this raw journey. I first went raw 9/19/07 and went for 100%. That lasted a couple of weeks and then I started backsliding. I have a significant problem with severe sugar and starch cravings and binge eating. I had stopped overeating cooked food and started overeating raw food! Unfortunately I replaced all the carbs I was eating with raw fats and gained a fair amount of weight. During this time my stress level at work was horrendous and there was literally no time to exercise.
I am in the process of addressing my neurotransmitter levels with certain amino acid supplements to ensure I have lots of building blocks for my body to make proper levels. I'm hoping this helps with cravings, as nothing else has.
I am also embarking on a green smoothie/juice feast for as long as I can. I am aiming for 30 days or until my weight is back down, my body pain has resolved and my urine and saliva consistently test alkaline.
