Downtown San Jose-ers!

I was so disappointed!!!!!!!!!! :mad: I ordered a large thinking I would have enough for tomorrow lunch. The dish cost 13.00 and it was soooo small.:eek: the waitress told me that was normal size and no one never complained about the portions. then she told me this is normal size for a raw dish:confused: COME ON!!! if i shreded a carrot i would have gotten a bigger plate.

i ordered to go. when i got home, my son almost threw it away because he thought it was leftover garnish from a meal.

At other raw rest., they charge alot but you can tell there was a lot of effort placed into the food. This place put no effort. this dish had few strands of celery roots. three tiny thin strips of kale. 5 pieces of shredded carrots. very few pieces of tomatoes. and the nuts were crumbs.

I asked for my money back!!!

:eek: Yikes. I have always wanted to go to a raw resturant but we dont have any. I always mark down pos and negatives from people so I can get a feel for what may be good or not worth trying. I guess everyone has different opinions.

Wow! I'm so sorry to hear that! I've never heard any complaints about their portions. I thought it was a nice size. I just had this last night and it was very filling

They were on the news the other night! Story about how they've gone all organic and vegan. They used to be lacto-vegetarian... anyways, nice to see a story on it on the regular news! That place is really hit or miss. Seriously. I've had great meals there with great service and also quite the other end of the spectrum. One thing I've noticed is that on the full moon, some Asian people believe that is the day they should eat vegetarian (sorry don't know why) and the place is always packed and very slow service! Skip full moons! I work in San Jose so will probably try out their raw stuff as there is NO WHERE else to get anything over here. If anyone wants to meet me there for lunch sometime, send me an email! We can take pictures and review it!

it was late evening so maybe i came when the chef was tired. The manager apologized for the service and made up the meal. right now they do not serve raw food. He said it will come back in the summer. I will go back as their dressing sauce is great.

Call them before you go - when I checked they didn't have any raw dishes. It's a great veggie restaurant, though, and they do have salads... just nothing particularly "raw".

The raw dish is back on the menu and the price is lower. if you order to-go please check before leaving. a few things were missing from the dish. However it was still very tasty

My bf and I went there last thrusday for dinner and he got the raw noodle dish and it was piled high! That was the first time we went there that they had the a raw dish offered. The waiter seemed very happy when he ordered it. He was quite pleased with it. :)

I think that alot of people that go there don't know the specials because they are on that sign by the piano instead of on the table.

Hopefully they have something like that again!
