I went to the dentist on Wed. On thurs I woke up with a PAINFUL boil on my jaw , RIGHT where the dentist had his latex gloved hand the whole time during the procedure. This is the second time this has happened to me. Could it be a latex allergy? It's just one GIANT boil, not a rash, and it's not all over where he touched my face/mouth, just where he kinda rested his hand, and used my chin/jaw for leverage while working on the tooth.

Could this be? or am I imagining it?

YES! You could have a latex sensitivity.
If you go again, I'd ask him not to use latex gloves.
Frankly, I"m surprised. Most dentists and doctors no longer use them.
In fact, latex was banned in the hospital where I worked.

You also could be chemically sensitive and there could have been something else, like talc, on the glove.
