View Full Version : Hi from Alberta, Canada

I signed up here a little while ago and have been reading the forum and enjoying the information and discussions. I just ordered Alissa's book and thought I would finally introduce myself.
I live in Alberta, Canada. I'm originally from Ontario, and I moved here earlier this year. I have been experimenting with raw and trying to increase the amount of raw food I eat for a couple of years now, and am finally ready to make the leap to 100% raw. Cooked food just doesn't make me feel good any more and I'm ready to see some real changes in my body and my health. Plus, I'm all excited about joining my first 30-day challenge!

Which do you like better - Ontario or Alberta? I have a son in Calgary and when I went out to visit him I just loved it there. Weather made me feel well and I could sleep better with the dry air. Glad you introduced yourself and wish you the best. I am just a newbie here too and have found so much enthusiasm and help from the members. They are really quick to answer your questions.:)

Yes, I agree with you that it's great out here. I prefer Calgary to Toronto, but I have to admit that northern Ontario is my favourite place in the world. In Calgary, I love the dry air and the fact that we get way more sunshine than Ontario. I love being close to the mountains, and there is absolutely nothing like the clean, fresh, sweet-smelling mountain air!! I've been getting so much exercise hiking and snowshoeing in the mountains, and I feel better than I ever have in my entire life. Look forward to seeing you around! :)

I'm from Edmonton Alberta. Always looking for more local raw resources. Does anyone know of a raw restaurant in the city here?
Malina, when you ordered Alissa's book, what was shipping? I'm really anxious to get it, but shipping is another $30 on top of the book! Yikes! I really want to support Alissa, not UPS!
