On vacation last week I picked up Arnold Ehret's Rational Fasting and Mucucless Diet, as well as Bragg's Miracle of Fasting. While these are not really about raw foods, the ideas are very compatible. And I just adored the writing style! Ehret has that sweet turn-of-the-century turn of phrase. Bragg has trhat optimistic, wholesome Jack Lalane thing going. reminds me of my dad's Charles Atlas program that he bought when he was a teenager and has followed almost every day of his life since (he's now almost 80, and a tough old bird still :)).
What struck me most about these books is how sweet, optimistic, and compassionate they are, in addition to ofering really interesting perspectives on health, diet, exercise, and cleansing.
Anyway, I think there's a lot to be gained from this old wisdom, not the least of which is a pleasurable read.
