Can you sprout unhulled buckwheat? Does it take the same time as hulled which is what is listed in Alissas book?

I'm trying to find out where to buy buckwheat that sprout, I saw a link on the board somewhere once before.

Hi Everyone,

I've had good luck with a company in California for sprouting buckwheat (www.organicfruitsandnuts.com) - the prices seem good and they specify which grains are for sprouting.

I'm not sure an unhulled buckwheat groat would sprout because it's been taken out its casing but maybe the site above could help you with that.

Hope that helps - and hi Tanisha! Love, Alicia

Both sprout but the unhulled is intended to be grown into salad greens, as opposed to the hulled buckwheat that I sprout then dehydrate for cereal.
