Hello!

I'm a 42 year old woman with four children. I've been reading about raw foods and rawfoodtalk for probably about 3 years now - lurking and deciding whether or not to go raw. Three weeks ago I finally did and I"m so glad I made that decision. I was at my highest weight at 186 last May and with exercise I lost 15 pounds. Then July and August no change. I was so frustrated! Then I quit consuming dairy and lost 5 pounds in five days! I also did oil pulling and eating 3 tsp. coconut oil everyday ( thank you Starfire!!! ) and the weight loss continued. I'm now at 155. I've had a few stumbles the past three weeks on raw, but I'm really proud of what I've accomplished so far. I plan on making raw a part of my life.

Welcome--sounds like you already have your plan in place and are working it quite well. Glad you decided to join in the fun here. I lurked for quite some time too. Now this board is my obsession! :D Hello....I just saw another new comer from Montana and was just telling her that I grew up in Idaho, seeing the Teton peaks every day as I went down main street. It's beautiful country up your way. I also have 4 children, and 44 years old. So, I'd really like to know what made you decide to go raw, it sounds like you really took alot of thoughtful time in making your decision. I'm sure you have Alissa's book, I love it. It's good to meet you.
