Yea me too. I know that there are a few in the city and I am there everyday for work but I dont have time to go downtown or on the east side where they are located. I also heard they are pretty expensive but I still would love to try it. Where do you shop for your regular groceries? Since youre close to nassau, do you have a WHole foods near you? They are talking about building one in Lake grove but still that wont be done til foreverrrrr

I actually work in Hicksville which is less than a 5 minute drive from the Whole foods market, I go there, or sometimes fairway market in plainview, there is also a heath food shop called Dr. B well's in plainview, that has a little "deli" section and makes green smoothies, has a couple raw food items too. That would be great if they built a WFM in lake grove my parents who are in suffolk county would be very happy!

Check out Glen Cove for this raw chef/trainer. http://thefirstsupper.com/ Perhaps he can guide you to a raw restaurant, or better yet, train you to do it yourself! Go for it!!!

I had a raw food restaurant guide and they listed Jandi's in Oceanside at 3000Long Beach Road. I stopped at a place that I thought was it. (I was going on memory and didn't check my list :( ) The place I stopped was named something like Natural Food, so I assumed it was the right place. I was disappointed, but they did have some raw salads and organic produce. Later I checked my list and discovered that I was in Long Beach and not Oceanside. Nevertheless, I found it hard to find any raw food on Long Island.
