Which is better to use? I made some yummy banana bread (1st time!) with flax seeds. The flavor is delish, but my children didn't enjoy the seed-y texture of the whole flax seeds. After tasting the banana bread, I remembered learning that whole flax seeds don't digest too well. Do you grind the seeds first? What about for flax crackers? I'd like to try them next.

All the Nutrients are inside the seed........So you must Bust them out. So, yes do grind them before you use them.

You will get the full benefit of the flax seeds if you soak them instead of grinding them.
They will turn jelly like.
