Hi,
I'm just starting out and I have a question for everyone, especially people who have been raw for a long time. Besides feeling better, healing yourselves and losing weight, has anyone made major life changes that they attribute to eating raw? Like... found a job they actually like, do things they wouldn't do before, you know, things like that? I guess enjoying life more?

When I went vegetarian 10 years ago, I quit my job with the City with vested retirement, 12 weeks a year vacation, $20 an hour job (remember 10 years ago), and I started working for myself.
NOW, I make more in 1 hour than I used to in 2 days, AND I am so much happier.
However, when I went Raw 4 years ago, I met my soulmate, and have been bliss filled ever since.
And of course, there are the health benefits.

Thanks Rawpriestess! That is defintely motivating! I've worked in 'cubes' for 15 years now and I'm sick of it. I think having a job that you like is SO important because you're here every freaking day, all day, all year. It's so detrimental if it's stressing you out or making you feel like you're just going through the motions of the day and making enough money to surivive, pay bills and maybe have a vacation one day a year. I'm getting to the point where I'd rather make less money, but do something everyday that I enjoy.
You know what I mean?
Oh, today is my first raw day. I'm hoping to do 100% for 30 days and then see where it goes from there. I think if I pressure myself, thinking that I'll do this forever, it'll freak me out a bit and I won't stick to it.
Someone posted (I can't remember who) that she was going to be raw today, she didn't know about tomorrow, but TODAY, she would be raw. That's a great way to think. It doesn't pressure you, so you actually end up sticking with it! Ok, I've babbled enough.

My life has been going through major changes for about the last year - all good. Weight, mindset, beliefs etc have all changed. I think Raw if PART of all that, not the "cause". I love my work, my attitude is so much more positive, I have got in touch with my spritual side, my health, weight & energy are all better, and I feel like a "nicer" person...I can't imagine eating the way I used to (which wasn't *that* bad...) because RAW just makes so much sense in the context of the way I want to (am) living my life now.
