hello, i'm emily. i'm very new to the raw lifestyle. i found out about it by looking for vegitarian cookbooks in the book store. i found rawvolution. when i got home i immediatly got online to find out what it is to eat raw. i thought it was so fabulous and so obvious! yet, i had never heard of it. i found alissa's site and i ordered her book. i'm learning so much. i havent gone 100% raw but i've incorporated some into my life. for a week i ate 100% and felt great. unfortunatly i went back to my regular diet. i've been reading a lot on this forum the past couple of days (i finally joined) and i want to start eating 100% raw. i think that is the only way i can commit myself to it. i think it will be hard because i live with my fiance and i just got him to start eating salads a few months ago. how can you live without eating any vegetables?!? he also doesnt cook or know how to prepare food. i'm hoping that if i prepare enough for the both of us he will eat it too. i hope. also, i dont know anyone irl that eats raw. i'm so glad i have this forum! :D
so anyway, i want to be raw for my health. i've been overweight all my life and most of my family is too. (i grew up in the south with lots of fried food) i dont have any heath problems otherwise but i know that if i continue the way i am now, i will not live long and have many health issues.
i'm grateful that i have found this now at 22 and have the opportunity to be healthy and live great before it's too late.
