I know some of you out there get frustrated & don't see the results as quickly as others or perhaps, you start eating certain foods & start bloating. But don't let any of that be a cause for giving up on eating raw foods. Just stick to your guns with this!!
If you are transitioning from a different 'diet' like I did (I went from low carb to eating raw), then yes, your body might go through some symptoms of bloating, you being tired & cranky, headaches, etc. But don't let it be a cause to give up. It might take a week or two for the body to adjust. From my own experience, I have gone through those dang symptoms-the bloating, being tired & cranky, having no energy, headaches, etc. and have reverted back several times to eating low carb. UNTIL...the dh pointed out to me that my body wasn't used to eating raw & it would take a few weeks for it to adjust so I should stop trying to change my eating habits back to the 'old ways' as we both know that raw is just the ultimate when it comes to reaching optimum health. So I started again & of course, the symptoms returned-the bloating, the tiredness, etc.-BUT I stuck with it this time & didn't try to cut out this or cut out that nor did I revert to my old ways of eating low carb. Of course, I was excessively hungry in the beginning, too (because the body is trying to get back the nutrients that cooked food depletes from it) And I just kept on going and going-despite all those blah feelings. Within a few days of just 'sticking to my guns', I had massive eliminations, the bloat disappeared as did the tiredness, headaches, etc. So DON'T GIVE UP!!! Just stick to your guns & you'll see results.
And one more thing that convinced me to stick to this-after eating raw for just TWO DAYS, someone at church said, 'wow. your face is looking really great. what are you doing?' And that also convinced me to stick to my guns & never stray again from the raw food lifestyle.
RAW RAWKS!!!!!!!!
