It's been such a bad week for me - I want a redo!!!!!!! I know there's no way to take back the last week but I sure would like to.......sighhhhhh I started out doing so well and then I let toxic family get in the way. I reverted back to old coping mechanisms and now am paying the price. Not sure if it's the reverse of detox (is there such a thing as retoxing??) or if I really do have a cold or the flue. I feel really bad.......all achy, massive headache and stuffy feeling nose PLUS have regained 3 lbs!! I am convincing myself that it's because of the relapsing into the non-exercising SAD world.
I would like to get moving today but since I feel so crappy I consider just laying still in bed to be about as active as I can get for today.
I figure I just won't eat anything for a day or 2 - just do water and lots of it to flush the bad stuff out. Give my body a chance to recoup without having to digest food. Is this a good thing, to do a water fast??
So having learned a lesson I'm looking forward to regain lost ground.
Hanging my head in shame.................

SKI BUMETTE: No do-overs.....but jump back on QUICK...your body will thank you for it!!! I personally would not do a fast, in the past when I have tried to do that, I have failed miserably!!! Best of luck to you HANG IN THERE...

Ski Bumette - I agree with Wendi, don't do a fast. Every time I have ever tried to do a fast because I've "messed up" it usually compounds the problem. Instead, focus on cramming as much WONDERFUL RAW food in you as you can, trust me the bad stuff will come out quick enough ;) Remember FOCUS ON THE GOOD. Throw yourself into a good raw food cook book, read the other boards here, soak yourself in where you want to be not where you've been.

I am NOT the best...but thank you!!! Everyone here is trying soooo hard....I think it's great to see results, see those who are detoxing, and know that we are healing!!

It wasn't going to be a long fast - just a day or 2 without eating to give my body a chance to get over the bad stuff. I don't feel much like eating....and I read that if you have the flu it was best not to stress the body by making it process food, just give it fluids for a day or so. Figured that's what I'd do. I really don't feel like eating......

Thanks for all the encouraging words. Maybe I'll concentrate on drinking lots but have some yummy fruit too. I have some fresh pineapple and an orange. Maybe the sweetness of these will make me feel better. Have brushed my teeth twice already this morning.......lol
