View Full Version : I want to buy Alissa's book but...

...I am in Australia. It says the book is $30, but the delivery is $70 (and that is the cheaper of the 2 options). Does that mean the only way I can get this book is to pay $100? That's in US dollars I presume, so there will also be a currency conversion.

Thank you...

Maybe you could try Ebay. THe shipping might be less!

Do you know anyone here (US) who would mail it to you regular post? You know, buy it and have it sent to someone here then they send it to you.

Perhaps contact Alissa's office and ask if someone there would not mind dashing it to the post office, vs UPS or FedEx.

I just found that our postal service is no longer doing "ground" shipping which is a big bummer as I send to the UK.

Good luck!

PS: IF you are going to go to all the effort make sure to get the DVD too; it's a MUST see!

I would love to know how it works out. I live in Asia and upon emailing them I was told she couldn't ship to Asia. The book and dvd's are invaluable I am sure, but I can't get my hands on one!:(

I order all my books from Amazon (including Alissa's) and the shipping is very reasonable, it still turns out cheaper than buying it in a book store over here (NZ). Is that an option for you? Otherwise I could try scout one out for you to send over to Australia.

Morn. I tried Ebay, following your suggestion, but the search brought up nothing. I am loving your transformation by the way. I can't wait to see the next lot of photos.

eachpeachpearplum...no I don't know anyone in the US. I don't want to bother Alissa's office, as I doubt they'd do it if they don't offer it on their website. I wish there was an E-book option, where you pay the same rate, but forgo all those extraneous shipping costs.

4forme...it's so incredibly frustrating isn't it.

Yay. I bought it from an Australian raw food website. It cost around AUD$60 including postage and I get it tomorrow. How fantastic.

And, I also found out that raw chocolate bars are available in Australia.

I am wondering if Alissa's book will inspire me to go 100%. I seem to be forever transitioning. I wonder if Alissa's book and her month of recipes will work for someone without a dehydrator.

Yes, you will love the book! I feel that I would not be where I'm at now with out her wealth of info, encouraging stories, and wonderful recipes! I got rid of what seems to be all of my candida problems (which were causing me chronic bladder/kidney infections), my skin is incredibly bright, my hair and nails are growing rediculously fast, the rough skin on my feet is almost gone... oh yeah, and I dropped 40 lbs!

GOING 100% raw isn't too hard, but it motivated me to STAY 100% raw, which is the key.

Good luck and many blessings to you! ;)

XOXO

I just recently received Alissa's book and I love it. It is sitting by my chair when it isn't in the kitchen. I'm constantly reading it while my husband watches his TV, in the evenings. I tried the Carrot Pecan Patties and I love them. They are sooo yummy.

Also you don't need a dehydrator, you can use your oven set at a low temperature with the door open. It should work fine, until you can buy one. (If you want to buy one, I mean.)

I'm in Canada and the shipping was going to be like $40.00 on top of the book and I was pretty upset so I contacted them. They were able to put me in touch with a raw food teacher nearby and I was able to have her mail me the book for only $15.00 shipping which was much better.

Oops just read you already ordered the book so nevermind. You will love it though, I'm always reading mine. There is so much great information. I'm about to make the Lime Pepper Crackers.

The book has arrived!!! It is on my desk. I am at work and occasionally take peaks.

I am hoping this book will give me the inspiration I need to succeed as a raw foodist.
