hi All-
How to get the coconut oil to become liquid? It is the artisan brand in the glass jar? I put it in hot water and it just becomes soft, not liquidy?
HELPPPPP :)

I put mine in my EX (dehydrator) or if it's warm enough outside (I live in Phoenix) then I put it out on my patio.

I wondered about that too. I have a huge tub of it that I didn't know what to do with because it is lumpy and solid in some places.

I put the jar in a deep bowl of warm water until it becomes mostly liquid.
I stir it then I put it through a strainer into a measuring cup.
The large clumps usually stay in the jar, so there isn't much wasted in the strainer.
You can always pour it back into the jar if-so.
HTH!

isn't the artisana product coconut butter(oil/coconutmeat)? if so then I don't think it will turn into the clear liquid the coconut oil turns to at about 24 degrees C

If you want a table spoon of oil run hot water over the jar for 1 to 2 min
enough of the outer oil will be melted just tip and pour.

For just coconut oil, Nutiva brand seems to be a favourite among quite a few people. I personally use South Pacific Coconut Company......I usually just put 1 tbs. in a shot glass, and then put that in a small bowl of warm water, and it melts nicely.

Wonderful! I am in Phoenix too. whereabouts are you?
In regards to the coconut oil, I would recommend setting it outside but cover it with a dark cloth to protect it from the light (unless it is in a dark jar)
it always melts when I leave it in my car..
I use spectrum for my body and Jarrow Formulas for my smoothies and for eating out of the jar sometimes :)
