My sis just emailed me and said she's willing to give raw a try. I am so happy for her!!!! I never thought she's come around. She eats "healthy cooked food" and knows a TON about herbs and wild edibles, etc, but she just never seemed to think raw was a great idea.
Now I have my favorite partner in crime with me!!!!

I'm sure your experience and wisdom will help her greatly - by the way, LOVE your byline "I fought the raw and the raw won" - this is total t-shirt material - can I order one from you????

I'm serious - I get t-shirts made for my yoga studio with t-shirts from American Apparel in Los Angeles - hit your friend up for more witty phrases and voila...you are queen of the raw t's....

Zaphirah- I think it's pretty easy to open up a cafe press store also. You just have your own design(s) and they put them on their apparel for you if I understand correctly. Maybe check out their website? Alicia is right, it's a great slogan. ;)

I am jealous.....my sister tried raw and even though it is the perfect diet for our iron overload (Hemochromatosis) she would rather eat cooked veges and meat. She says it makes her feel better

Wow Zaphirah,
How wonderful for you, and what a great decision for her. You two can have so much fun exchanging recipe ideas, etc. I wonder if she lives near you, so you can taste each other's concoctions, too.
I miss having someone to share raw food fun with. Thanks to this wonderful RFT board I feel a bit connected to like-minded living on live food folks.
All the best,
Soulstar

i think it's actually a trademark that you would need, but only if you really want to protect your rights if your company/business takes off
i believe you can just begin using a slogan or logo, but somebody can come along and snag it at anytime, trademark it themselves and will get royalties, let's say if it ends up in the film/music industry or whatever. that's why you often see tshirt slogans/logos blacked out in reality shows and stuff like that because the producers don't want to pay for advertising.
it's a good idea to get one just in case...

Also you may want to check with your local better business bureau or community college about identifying resources to start your business. You'll need a business plan, mission statement etc. There are tons of non-profits that offer free advice, there's a national retired business executive network but off the top of my head I can't remember what it's called. Maybe someone else has the information.
Good luck! I really do think you've got something here and I will buy a tshirt from you. That's all I wear these days and I love your slogan. :D
Congrats on your sister joining you! God is Good!:D
