Just had to share that the wrinkles in my forehead are less pronounced. My husband noticed yesterday (as did I) that my skin is looking younger and younger! I'm 38 and wrinkles were beginning to show around the eyes and most predominantly in my forehead. Woohoo! It's looking better WITHOUT makeup than it did WITH it! :)

Yes, at about 3 months raw I was able to stop wearing foundation (age 50). Actually look better without it. And vertical lines between brows just about gone. :)

I'm noticing that I glow more and just have a vibrancy to me even when I'm tired it doesn't show. I still have some acne but hoping that will clear up in time. My mom who is also raw said she noticed one of her under eye bags is showing less which made her happy as she is in her 60's. She has been raw 6 months now.

What percentage raw are you guys? I am around 90%. I have been for about four years. I've noticed lately that my forehead is looking WORSE! I'm 38. I still get the "you look 27ish" but when I look in the mirror, yuk! I've noticed it just this year. My first wrinkles... and here I am 90%+ raw depending on the day. Most days I am 100%. I am just wondering if I it's the extra 10% keeping me from getting the skin I want. I do eat my fats and such. I do drink a little wine, two glasses once or twice a week. My 10% non-raw is some cooked veggies here and there and such. It's so frustrating because I eat so much better than everyone else I know and I don't feel like I look much better! :(

I noticed since I've gone raw I look less "puffy" in my face, and the dark shadows under my eyes are gone! My skin is becoming WAYYY less oily and VERY soft! Kudos to raw!

they say alcahol is a preservative maybe thats why I look so young!

no for real dont drink more ! I is in no way good for you. but try young

coconuts and some virgin cocnut oil it should smell and taste like coconut. this will transform you! try to get in a 3 or more table spoons a week or 3 to 4 young nuts a week. and dont forget to put a little on a rag and rub your body with it ( JUST enough to feel silky not oily).

I know you will drop some years!!! heck I promise!!!!

also find an asian market strong in thia food and get your young nuts. there like $1.19 as compared to 5 bucks each from whole foods

Thanks for your replies! Actually Ghost27M, I do try to drink a young coconut once a day, but I did just start. They really are hydrating! I cleanse my face with evoo in the evenings and also use it as a moisturizer. Maybe it was coincidental but I tried coconut oil on my skin and I thought it seemed drier. Hmmm?

SuBu, that was so nice of you to say! Thanks so much! :)

I just thought I'd check to see if anyone else is experiencing this also...

Since going completely raw (again!) I'm having a MAJOR break out on my face along with kankers (spelling?) in my mouth!! Anybody else suffer from this during their first week (keeping in mind this isn't my first week ever...I've done the "all-raw" before for a few months). I usually have pretty nice skin and right now I look like I have some sort of rash/acne breakout...help!!

I went through that in the first couple of weeks--and I'm not 100% raw yet! I had several sores inside my mouth and a pretty impressive breakout...it passed, thankfully. :)

Let me share a little something I got in an email from ex drug chemist, Shane Ellison.....................

I also notice my wrinkles are less pronounced than before and I have only been raw for 7 weeks now. i rebound every day too and I know that helps alot. Also, I eat a TON of raw organic spinach like Shane mentiones in this article.

Wanna look younger?
As a beauty-salon owner, my wife sees dozens of over-50 clients who are eager to undergo cosmetic surgery. She is quick to teach them about using alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) as a natural and safe alternative to pricey and potentially dangerous procedures like facelifts.
Because I'm an ex drug-design chemist for Big Pharma, I know all about the wrinkle-reducing properties of ALA. When consumed, it activates an anti-wrinkle agent within your skin cells known as AP-1. Working in unison, AP-1 and ALA promote the digestion of damaged, wrinkle-inducing collagen. This helps get rid of unsightly wrinkles. And if you don't have ALA in your diet, wrinkles come on like gangbusters.

Without ALA, AP-1 can begin to make you look old beyond your years. By itself, AP-1 increases free-radical production within the skin cell and the oxidative stress that can cause the cell to produce co llagen-damaging and micro-scarring enzymes. Premature aging of the skin is the end result.

If you want your skin to look years younger, don't turn to expensive and risky surgeries. ALA is a much easier, safer, and even more effective way to peel the years from your face. Consuming 200 to 400 mg of ALA daily can stop the degradation. You can get ALA in supplement form and from food sources, including spinach and broccoli.
