Can you take Acai, spirulina and chlorella on this diet? Does anyone take these? How about wheat grass? Bottled water, is this ok? Thanks, Pat.

just make sure to find acai raw and not with added sugar or pasteurized. Sadly, the only acai I've seen is in powder form. It's raw, but expensive. I'll have to save up for it because I love the taste of acai :)

Amazon Mania is the only frozen Acai on the market that is not paturized. Been putting in my morning smoothies with very nice results. Have not seen the powdered form yet.

i think sambazon frozen acai is raw.... at least I hope it is, as I use it in smoothies a LOT. :) Gotta sweeten it tho, with agave or something. It really does taste like dirt right outta the package :p

Sorry, it's sadly not. I asked my local hfs to order me a case of Acai from Amazon Mania and the got in the Sabazon. The package should list that it is pasturized, though. Not a bad product, but not raw.

my hubby is hooked on monavie.. we haven't bought it since we went raw though.... very good question, is it pasteurized?

I have been doing a little research on acai and have found that everything is pasteurized, including MonaVie, Sambazon, etc. The only brand in the US that is RAW is Amazon-Mania. You can check them our at http://www.amazon-mania.com. They have acai pulp called AcaiTwist and AcaiRaw. They say that AcaiRaw is 100% raw and AcaiTwist is 90% raw. I use AcaiRaw in my shake every day and feel great. It is by far the highest quality acai you can buy. I've tried everything. Anything in a bottle is garbage. It's sugar water and nothing more. This is the only brand that is worth the trip to the store and it's not that expensive. I've bought it at Rainbow in San Francisco. Now, I've been ordering it directly from them, b/c they're having a sale on Raw until April 30th. If you like acai and want to stay raw, this is the only brand for you.
