My family has often enjoyed broiled portobello mushrooms with teryaki sauce. Well I ran out of teryaki sauce and couldn't use my oven at the time, AND I was short on time, so I decided to do an experiment. I sliced the shrooms, splashed Braggs on them, and warmed them in the microwave. (I know, I know--two no-no's!) Then I made a 2nd dish--sliced mushrooms and white onions marinated in Braggs. (ok, so only one no-no. I really do need to find a replacement for marinating stuff in Braggs, and I can't use Nama Shoyu.) Well...................my family chose the RAW shrooms over the microwaved ones. They even said that the combo with the onions was better than the "regular broiled ones". I realize that this is no surprise to most of us, but I just thought I'd share a recent event.

That reminds me of someone's tag on here which says "I fought the raw and the raw one" I always thought that was cute. AND TRUE! We use wheat free tamari because braggs puffs me up like a pufferfish, and I can't have wheat (nama). YEP. Raw food just tastes better.

Please, why is Bragg's a no-no?

I have always heard that Braggs isn't raw, yet Ani Phyo in her book 'Ani's Raw' says that it IS. Her information seems pretty trustworthy in other ways. Now I'm confused.
