Dates from Sam's Club

Do you guys buy dates from Sams club? They dont list anything on the package about how they are grown but they are much cheaper.

I bought the ones at Sams Club when I first went raw. I think they are not really raw since they are not medjool dates. Medjool dates are the ones that are raw and can be bought at Costco though in bulk just like the ones at Sams Club. You can tell the difference because the medjool dates are dull in there finish and the other ones that Sams sell are shiny. At least that is what I have read on this site from others in the past.

Are medjool dates really the only ones that are raw?

Oh dear, I've been eating normal dates and just assumed they were! :(

In general dates confuse me ha. I mean what even is a date? They are used in so many recipes. I bought some raw organic medjool dates and honey dates from a farm in florida but they were expensive so I am just trying to find an alternative and I was in Sam's yesterday and saw them

That is so cool. It must be something new they are carrying! The ones I bought were by sun sweet and they weren't medjool so sorry if I confused anyone. When I am out I will be looking for them at Sams. Thanks for the tip!

My parents just got back from Dubai and brought me some dates back. They are so yummy! Although I'm eating with care since the posts on finding creepy crawlies inside!
