I am eating the other half of an avocado to hopefully help.
Someone in the back of my head keeps saying....eat whatever you want today and tomorrow...start raw on Saturday...
Kick that somebody out of your head! You're more than halfway through today. You can do this! Savor that avo. If you have to grab something, grab produce. It's almost dinner. Drink water. Hold on. Don't give up. You'll hate yourself tomorrow.

Subu...thanks so much...this means so much to me. I am going to get another avocado and not think twice about it.
Yea for you!!! You just conquered (sp?) a huge hurdle. Those voices can get so loud sometimes. And that's all they really are. Empty voices. Like the little good/evil characters sitting on each shoulder. Well, we just thumped the bad guy off! You're so strong to not give in. Proud of you MRL!!

I'd say you may want to eat a little more...remember, going from cooked-to-raw means that you are no longer experience that 'heavy-full' feeling from cooked foods so you'll need to eat more in order to satisfy that desire to feel full.
Also, make some yummy stuff! Don't go depriving yourself...pick a day or two out of the week when you have time and whip up some recipes for the week so you'll always have food on hand and have a greater variety! Stock up on (and carry with you) your favorite raw fruits and veggies, etc.

Is three avocados in one day too much?

You can do it! Eat some big red apples, this will make you full too. And satisfy your sweet and crunchy tooth at the same time.
Make some lemonade with orange slices. It will curb your appetite.
Have some more avocados. Thank God for avocados!
But really the beauty of raw is you can eat all day if you want to, don't eat paltry meals which don't satisfy you, make yourself some giant smoothies and monster salads. Make sure you're full, happy & satisfied!
Overtime, you'll want and need less food.
MRL--I checked back because I rememeber you. You're no newbie. You began back on 7/21. Just mentioning that because the advise being given seems that it is for a brand new-bie. Are you just coming back after being away for a while? Glad to see you if that's the case. If 3 avo's keep you raw, then I don't think so. If you're worried about fat, probably. But the biggest issue today is staying raw. Have another. Just hang in there.

Is three avocados in one day too much?
First staring out? Going from cooked (possibly SAD) food to raw? No. Some raw fooders say they ate almond butter by the jar when first starting out and as time progresses, the desire for so much of the heavy stuff starts to wear down. So, enjoy those avos as long as they don't make you feel poorly or anything!

Yeah I did ok before in July...but I have had such a hard time lately. I need to lose some weight.
I had 2 avocados..so I will not go for the third. I bought apples, but I am really NOT in the mood for eating them.
Ugh..it is just a really really major craving.
And really embrace the community here--notice how everyone has jumped on board to help you through this. Strength in numbers!! You can do this! We're all in this together!

Thank you. I am trying. I NEED to get healthy.
MRL--lose weight tomorrow, or next week. Just stay raw and you will. Just get through these cravings. Go ahead and enjoy your avo. Make guacamole. Make something yummy tonight. Enjoy yourself and enjoy raw. If it's too restrictive, you won't stick with it, right? Stop being so hard on yourself. How's your exercize routine?

wooo hooo! you can do it! Indulge in something raw. Hey, do you have any kind of nut butter, cacao nibs and/or cacao, and agave/rawhoney? Because, mix equal parts of those, and make yourself some raw cookie dough! It has saved me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many times! if you want, you can add a pinch of salt and some vanilla. OMG. the best stuff ever. Freeze it if you want, it makes great raw frozen cookie dough!

Rawkinlocs is so right...EAT those avos if you want them. MRL... do you have Alissas book? I followed the 30 day plan that she has in the book.... I couldn't eat all the food Alissa laid out for me to eat... YOWZA... not only was it really REALLY delicious... it was sooooo easy to prepare -- AAAND.... there was so much food - I literally couldn't eat it all!!
It's exactly like rawkinlocs said...at first - I wanted something heavier - cuz I was so used to the heaviness of SAD foods.... and with raw I wasn't really (uncomfortably) full ... like I was used to feeling with SAD foods.... so I ate a lot of nuts dishes, lots of avos.... but over time... my desire for those heavier raw dishes has dropped away.... and I'm quite happy with a lovely salad, or raw spring rolls... something light and fresh and delicious!
You can do this MRL.... and make sure you're drinking lots and lots of water too!!! I'm so proud of you that you came here for help --- rather than just throwing it out the window and going for that burger king!! RAWK ON GIRL.... we're here with you! ;)

I eat so many avocados it's not even funny. In my opinion, eat as many avocados as you want per day. Since you're just starting out, definitely do not deprive yourself of anything, as long as it is raw, eat whatever you want, whenever you want!!!

I'm am right up there with you on being in the "mood" to eat something. I've only been raw for 3.5 days, but every time I get hungry I just reach for something raw and don't even think if I "feel" like eating it or not. If I think about it too much then it gets hard.
The most I think is whether I want something sweet or salty!
I hope this helps. I totally understand how you feel!

Awesome job overcoming the cravings... one avocado is only like 250 calories... which is like 1/4 the average BK meal... so way to go on your choices!!
I am also gonna give mad props to all you other raw fooders on this thread and the support you give... this forum is really beginning to surprise me when it comes down to the amazing level of kindness and helpful attitude of everyone on it!

When it comes to cravings, I've learnt through experience that they are sign of some kind of deficiency.
When you are fully nourished especially with minerals, byebye cravings for anything, regardless of whether it is chocolate, or fatty fried food, or sweets.
My recommendation is green smoothies: They work, so if you can get yourself
one, or eat some raw spinach in salad with a dressing you like, that might help.
