I read this article and HAD to respond (LJames).....a well known nutritionist telling people that organic produce is no different nutritionally than conventionally grown AND that all conventionally grown produce is safe to eat...no worries!! No problems!!! Arrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It's no wonder the general public have no clue which end is up. I am glad beyond words that teachers like Alissa are becoming more widely known in the mainstream!!
Thanks again for getting the word out as much as possible. People really need to know...their lives depend on it!

No. Just brainwashed.
Wow, I can't believe that article after how many times I've read and heard over and over that organic has significantly higher nutritional value... Very interesting.

Unbelievable. Which is why we should always do OUR OWN research and come to OUR OWN conclusions. It's sad that we often can't trust the mainstream health system for sound, reliable information about how to best care for the only body we'll ever have in this journey on Earth.

Someone came back on a said the only people who believe organic is better are the ones trying to sell it...that our food supply is safe...
I said...
If our food system is "safe" then why do we have more morbid obesity, more diabetis and more heart disease than most countries in the world? Why are our children plagued by more cancers, high blood pressure, autism and behavioral disorders than at any time in history? Why do we have so many auto-immune problems and rampant cancers? Why will 1 in 4 women be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes?
Limiting exposure to pesticides, chemical and genetic manipulation, hormone and antibiotic pollution of our food supply is one thing we can do reduce our chances of contracting life threatening and debilitating illness and a reduction in the quality of life we can expect as Americans.
We have the highest standard of living, the most advanced medical system in the world and yet our citizens are plagued by the most illness. Why?
Can anyone really be so blind as to intentionally bury their head in the sand and not take an honest look at how the foods we eat affect the quality of our lives?
Geeshhh!!!

I said something about the rise in cancer. someone responded with. A lot of things cause cancer. One of which might be the multitude of sources of RFI, which didn't exist 100 years ago.
What the heck is RFI????

I don't bother arguing with brainwashed people. They're going to do what they want to do. It's open-minded, questioning, intellegent people who are going to make a difference in this world. I just keep doing what I know is right for myself and for our world.

My roommate thinks that buying organic foods is hogwash.
He said that organic produce is no different from conventional, and that I'm wasting my money.
ACCKKK:eek:
He has no idea what being truly healthy is.
Organic is healthier, plus it lasts much longer in the fridge (unlike conventional produce).

It's the same ole thing all the time butter or margine, coffee or tea, organic or not, floride or not, etc etc etc......
Juice something and tell me there's no difference! You can TASTE the difference!
