I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Tracey and I found out about the raw lifestyle about a year and half ago and decided to take a "raw til dinner" approach, but I gained weight relying too much on nuts and also I didn't have a dehydrator, now that I'm in a better position to get the things and foods I need, I will reattempt and at 100% raw, first the master cleanse and then a conversion to the raw lifestyle, I hope I can convince my husband to follow suit. Thanks and I'll see everyone around on the boards:)

Hi there! I'm also in atlanta, starting out raw :) Welcome to Raw Food Talk! Oh, and if you don't already know this, the International Farmers Market (in Decatur) is AMAZING for cheap, organic, produce. ESPECIALLY COCONUTS! :)

Welcome:)
I'm new here too... I've been there with the whole nuts thing back last winter when I tried raw a few months, I find as long as I keep them to a handful at any given time they don't interfere too bad (now dried fruits... that's my weakness... I LOVE dates... but they don't love my digestion much!)

aloha and Welcome to RFT!!! Very cool that you are returning to raw... and this is a great place to get lots of support! Many of us are the only rawbies in our families... my dh eats high raw -- always has... but he's also a carnivore.... just recently - he seems to be leaning more and more towards the direction of the raw lifestyle.

I haven't pushed it --- he has been watching me - and even read Alissas book recently!! (very exciting for me since my dh HATES reading!) but I leave Alissas book out on the table next to his chair... he sees it every day - and well --- after 7 months - he finally picked it up -- and got hooked reading it! HOW COOL IS THAT! http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/thyahoo.gif

SO... in time... in time... things may change!!

rawk on -- I look forward to reading more of your posts!

blessings on your journey!
