What can I use agave nectar for?

I have a very sweet tooth. Sometimeas I top a sliced banana with tsome agave syrup in the evenings ---'does the trick.

I use it instead of honey, and it's supposed to have a lower glycemic level. I have sweetened up green smoothies for the kids, used it to make a quick dessert concoction for sweet cravings (almond butter with chopped dates (well after THAT thread maybe I will switch to raisens) with a little Agave rolled into balls and chilled)- the possibilities are endless.

I get a reaction from other sweeteners but for some reason never this one.

I loooove agave. I love to put it in raw ice cream, raw cookies, I've used it to make lemonade, i use it to make raw cakes.... there's a lot of great recipes that use agave... for an impulse buy.... Ya did real good!!!:D

:p My family enjoys agave and so do their sad friends. We use it with ice cream, mix w/cacao for a quick chocolate treat, apple cobbler, sweet and sour "unchicken", laundry (okay, I was a little carried away). Great buy.;)

Agave is probably the best of the sweeteners but it is still a sweetner and not a food.
I use it when something can not be eaten without sweetening but keep it to a minimum.

I know that I probably come across as a bit of a spoil-sport but just think of me as your old granny dispensing advise to you if you need it or not.
