Hi,
I'm thinking of getting a dehydrator, but there's no room for a big one in our kitchen. I was looking at a brand called Stockli which seemed pretty compact. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm not planning on dehydrating loads of stuff as I manage fine without one but it'd be niceto have one!
Thanks x

I do know excalibur has an apartment sized one, but sorry...haven't heard of that brand before.

subbacultcha,
I haven't heard of that brand either but have a 9 tray Excalibur with timer myself. They do make 4 tray ones and if you can I'd go with them. They are excellent quality and I hesitated at first but am so glad I got mine.
Also I've heard on this forum that American Harvest dehydrator's are good. Think it's by Nestco and it is circular. Not sure where they are in the States (I'm in Canada) but that might be a thought.

The American Harvester's are available at Wal-Mart @ around $40.00. They work fine for small amounts. They have a temperature control so you can keep it below 115 degrees. I've had mine a few months and it does the job!

I also have the nesco circular one. It works just fine and does not take up that much space at all.
I live in an apt and have a small kitchen: I have the 4 tray excalibur. I highly recommend it.

Thanks everyone. The Stockli is a European brand so that's probably why no-one's heard of it. Can anyone give me an idea of the dimensions of the 4-tray excalibur?

Unit Dimensions: 6-1/2"H x 13"W x 16-1/4"D
Shipping weight: 8 lbs.
I have it, love it, though it does take a bit of space. But it fits in our cupboards when we put it away.
