i received my dehydrator today from the usa and let me tell you... i had to pay nothing in customs etc. nothing at all! they even opened the box so it was an error.

$47 in shipping and i had it in less than two weeks!

so don't be afraid fellow canadians...it's okay to order from the usa!

Wow!!! that was great. Mine took six weeks to get here and I had to pay duties..........Yes it was opened! I'm not complaining though, I use it just about every day. Enjoy yours.

I'm jealous! lol
I had to pay about $80 shipping and $80 customs for mine. Now I live pretty close to the border so I just have everything shipped to a mailbox over there and drive across to get it.

recycling goddess,

Wow, that's amazing. That's happened to me twice when I order waterproof labels from a place in the US. I ordered my Excalibur through a private courier that delivers it to the airport where I live but is shipped to a US address and I just pay according to the weight of the package which is way cheaper than custom fees.

recycling goddess,

I knew what you meant but usually when I order from the States I pay custom /brokerage fees or duty. That's why I use a private courier to avoid the brokerage fees. I've heard it's hit and miss whether you pay or not as sometimes I haven't paid anything either.

that is so cool!! Here in Hawaii - we dont' have to pay customs and stuff like that -- but sometimes shipping can really knock us for a loop!! So -- I'm glad you were able to get your stuff through ~ what a blessing!!
