I'm a n00b! Allow me to introduce myself..

Hello, I'm Emily. I live in the US. I've known about the all raw diet for a while now. I have a few friends who are vegan. I haven't been in the best health and after reading so many success stories, I've decided to give this a try. Anf hopefully change my life. I have always loved and eaten fruits and veggies. I grew up eating lots. But I also have a weakness for starches. I don't usually eat alot of meat, unless my mom cooks it for me. I don't really care for it at all. I also stuggle with my weight. And I know I will lose weight an extremely healthy way by eating raw.

I am really glad I stumbled upon this site. I got it off of Alissa Cohen's website. I'm just looking for support. I am the only one in my family deciding to do this. My mom said she might give it a try for a month or two.

I only ate one thing cooked yesterday. I've eaten all raw today so far. Wish me luck! ;)

Emily, what a beautiful, marvelous name! The best female name in the English language, right? ;)

Two must-reads for you: Alissa's book, Living on Live Foods, b/c she teaches how freeing and delicious raw eating is, and Victoria Boutenko's Twelve Steps to Raw, b/c she teaches you how to get freed from your addiction to cooked foods.

If you get started on green smoothies (fruits blended w/greens such as kale, spinach, romaine lettuce, etc), you will find yourself craving starches a lot less.
