What a disappointment! BBs is a pretty clean product --no pun intended---but Clorox???!!

No matter how pure the intention, it all seems to boil down to greed, doesn't it?

yeah, just like toms of maine sold out to one of those big junk companies too i think. i mean, i know toms stuff wasnt the best, still had some questionable stuff like sls in it, but it was way purer than most of the stuff out there...at least you could recognize all the ingredients. stinks.

Yeah I think it's owned by Colgate or something like that.

Everyone - instead of focusing on the negative choose to look at the POSITIVE! Ex: Hershey's bought Scharffenberger and they continue making chocolate their way in the same factory in Berkeley AND they get $ for better equipment, better employee benefits, and bigger distribution! Got the scoop directly from an employee there so I'm not making it up. Burt's Bees could very well be the same way. I wouldn't just assume otherwise. :)

BTW - Look at who really owns organic. Surprising isn't it. To honor the individual growers and small businesses, I try to buy as much LOCAL product as possible. But when it's not possible, at least it's good to know where you're stuff is really coming from.

wow greenday i had no idea about all of that. I don't generally use products from most of those companies, but still it is interesting to note.

And Tom's of Maine was bought by Colgate. It happens to the best of them.

yeah, but despite the fact they could end up with better equipment or whatever, i HATE to think that the money spent on those products is going to this multinational advertising giant Colgate, who puts forth so many other unhealthy products that damage both people and the environment, not to mention does colgate still engage in animal testing too? probably.

I sort of felt the same way when Green and Black sold out to Cadbury Schweppes and thought that I would never buy their chocolate again but if my man wants chocolate I still think that it is better to buy him the Green and Black than any other so I put up with it.
The consumer has a short memory.

I agree... It's unfortunate but I can't hate on them for making money. I mean that's one of the primary reasons people start a business. Let's just pray someone rises up from the masses to provide us with a better alternative...any takers??

darn. thats too bad about green and blacks. thats the best stuff (chocolate) ive ever had (not raw though). yeah, i'd still keep buying it cuz at least its organic and fair trade, and its really the best stuff out there. just too bad that the big corporations keep buying out the little guys. capitalism out-of-control. darn corporations.....
