Hello--just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am already loving this site.

I ate raw about 2 or 3 years ago when I lived in NYC. I was raw an entire summer there, going to Caravan of Dreams and Quintessence literally everyday. A co-worker introduced me to raw foods and I've loved it ever since. I have acne-prone skin and I would marvel at how flawless and smooth her complexion was. She attributed it to her diet and invited me to Caravan of Dreams to eat.

That summer of raw was the best thing I ever did for my body. I had so much energy, my skin cleared up and my digestion was off the hook! :) I'm quite tall and I am naturally thin, but my body became super toned on raw and everyone asked me if I was doing Pilates, but it was simply just the good eating.

I have now moved back home to California and am not keeping up with raw. I just ordered a vitamix today, so I'm hoping with that and with the support of everyone here, I will thrive again in the raw food lifestyle. I also just ordered Alissa's book too.

Thank you for reading and I look forward to lots of wonderful exchanges.

my body became super toned on raw and everyone asked me if I was doing Pilates, but it was simply just the good eating. That part of the raw food lifestyle was one of the biggest surprises I have gotten since being all raw. I thought I would have to work at weight loss / fitness hard everyday as I have had to do in the past but it just isn't so ! As the body seeks its optimal health the fitness level happens so effortlessly. The weight drops off and the body starts to want and enjoy just the right amount of activity for the moment, and that amount of activity increases as health increases. The key is not to push the body but rather to listen to the body. I have found that the body's innate wisdom can be trusted all we have to do is learn to listen. Welcome aboard :)

Well Hi there :)
I have found Alissa's book to be awesome for inspiring me to become & stay raw. The dvd is also really useful because Alissa shows how truly easy her recipes are...if I hadnt seen her make the crepes I dont think i would have had the guts to try it myself ;)
Looking forward to getting to know you better
