Barley Flakes?

I just got some stuff I ordered online and the barley is organic barley flakes. Is this ok or are they supposed to be in a different form to be raw?

I would guess that they are not raw. Usually heat is used to turn the whole barley into flakes....BUT not always. I would contact the company and ask them. Hope that helps...:)
