 I'm getting close to being 10 weeks 100% raw (or therein) and never had much of a detox. Went from Vegan 15-20% cooked to all raw. Just in the past month my asthma is SO much better, weigh falling off, feel good, no more anxiety, no more PMS, WOW! Until 2 days ago I get this rash on my torso & back. Nothing anywhere else thank goodness, but I ITCH!!! Intensity comes and goes. Almost feels like hives or a healing sun burn.
I've been eating fairly simply. Green smoothies after 12pm. A raw sandwich of whatever raw bread I've made, avo, greens, tomatoes, sprouts, and a huge salad for dinner with olives. Maybe fruit or a slice of raw bread with my fav. cashew deviled not egg spread for a snack, then water during the day.
The only things I can figure are a food allergy (nuts?) or detox. I feel fine except for this rash. Any ideas??? Thinking of doing a Master Cleanse until it subsides. :(

It could be allergies to food or detox. It seems more like a bit of both. Have you thought to go see a nutritionist that do raw as well. You may have some good tip on what to do.
I am doing a detox program with raw food, i have almost cleared my allergies. I have been doing this for two weeks. I suspect that i have a reactions with nuts.
Best wishes!

Well, no I haven't thought to see a Nutritionist as I'm in a very rural area with no raw nutritionists around. I'm going to stop nuts for a few days and see what happens. My allergies are back with this which is why I wonder if it's a detox. Was really gassy the night before.
Makes sense... lung/large intestine plus skin. Hmmm...

When I started raw, about a month into it I had rashes all over my body (and I mean ALL over) for 2 -3 weeks. Went away. Probably is detox.
Although it could be the nuts, or just too much fat in general. When my diet is high in fat(meaning that in percentage of calories, I am taking in more than 20 to 30 percent of my total calories in fat), a couple spots on my skin get dry and leathery, and the last time I ate too much fat (over a month or 2) I got a wart, and I havent had those in years.

Thanks! I've cut out the nuts, and seem to be a tiny bit better today. Just having raw EVOO & avocados for a few days. Boy, I'll be glad when this is gone!

Almost all cashews that are sold as raw aren't accualy raw. Make sure you're olives are raw. Alot of the jarred olives out there are soaking in harsh white vinegar, processed salt, and hightemp processed oils. They may also use sulphites. Any time in the past that I have consumed somthing with sulphites in it I get a bad rash and have mild breathing discomfort.

Wow. That didn't occur to me. It's better today. Not nearly as itchy, and I've had no nuts/seeds or olives. I'll have to read the bottle. How does one know when their olives are actually raw???

Well, I'm MUCH MUCH better today. Still some tiny scabs where the bums were from scratching, but it's going away and it was so much better today. WHEW! I will reintro nuts in a couple of days and see what happens. Not a lot mind you. Gonna do the mono thing. Like if I have nuts that day, no avo or olives and rotate. See what happens. Wish me luck!:)
