Does anyone have any ideas for making a (raw vegan) Thanksgiving gravy without using mushrooms, fermented products like miso/nama shoyu/Bragg's/apple cider vinegar or yeast?
Thanks!

Did you do a "SEARCH"? Try putting in "ThanksGiving" I know there were lots of Recipes last year for ThanksGiving which included Gravies.
Hope you find the Gravey you are looking for or maybe you will be Sharing another NEW Recipe with us............

Thanks!I find myself in the same situation, where I was hoping to find a gravy recipe of some sort, creamy and thick, without mushrooms. I thought I had a half bag left of mushrooms to use for mushroom gravy for polenta but after making the polenta, dismayed to come up empty in the fridge re the shrooms! <g>
I've searched another raw food forum thoroughly besides this one only to come up empty-handed so far. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks. :)

how about using sprouted lentils, and creaming them in the food processor?
add some spices and voila.

Although I enjoyed the mushroom gravy, last year's Thanksgiving feast had me smearing my mashed potatoes, etc. with the cranberry sauce that had come out more smooth than chunky.
How about a warmish tomato sauce with some of your favorite spices/herbs.

I blend pecan nut milk with onion and fresh sage and salt and pepper. Its not really gravy like but I like it.

I have done a base of raw cashew butter with enough water to desired consistency. You can then season how you like it.
