I just got a dehydrator and haven't used it yet. One of the recipes I'd like to try is out of the Gabriel Cousens book Rainbow Live Food Cuisine but the temps he sets for his recipes are like 145 degrees. What's the max I should set my dehydrator on and how should I adjust the time dehydrating when a recipe calls for 145 degrees for 1 hour and then 105 degrees for 2 hours?? The recipe is a teething biscuit.
Thanks for your help! :)

I believe he suggests that for fungus and mold growth prevention. Even though the dehydrator is at 145, the food does not reach that temperature in 1 hour.

Yes, I typically don't heat things at 105 as many recipes suggest. If you live in a high humidity area you have to make some tweaks so things don't get funky...( :

I use a digital thermometer with a probe to keep a check on the temperature in mine because I do not thrust the settings.
