I was just wondering if its ok to eat dried then soaked chickpeas, which haven't been sprouted.

I was just thinking back to when I used to make falafels and would always eat a bit of the falafel mix out of the food processor - it was just soaked chickpeas, onions and spices. I don't remember it doing me any harm then but it wasn't in any great quantity!

Hopefully they are ok raw because I'm thinking I could create some sort of raw falafel, and I have a huge bag of chickpeas in the cupboard!

So soaked and soft, but not sprouted? Does that mean no funky taste?

That would be awesome! But I think the nutrition comes after the sprouting. Hmmmm......

I think you can eat them but you might not like the taste of them. I found they are very chalky until they've sprouted a certain amount.

Well I put some on a salad today - they didn't taste bad when I'd soaked them, can't really place the taste. Then I marinated them in lemon juice, hemp oil and garlic and they were really good :)
