I came up with this recipe a few weeks ago. Omit the maple syrup and use agave or honey if you want 100% raw. (I am from Maine and If you wanna saw I am addicted to maple syrup, so be it!)
You can dehydrate these or make them into balls. They might be nice for making a crust, too.
2 cups pecans (I soaked, dehydrated and then ground them)
1 Tbl. psyllium
1/3 cup mesquite (optional but definately adds to texture and flavor)
2/3 cup groat (raw whole oats) flour
nutmeg to taste
cinnamon to taste
ginger to taste
4-6 Tbl. sweetner (maple syrup, agave or honey)
pinch of sea salt
mix all ingredients together
form into balls
flatten with glass on teflex sheet
dehdrate for 12-24 hours
they get even more firm after you take them out of the dehydrator
enjoy!!
