Whats wrong with my ear?

For a couple of days now, I have been totally deaf in my left ear..

Sometimes it comes back and then goes again..

I thought it was a wax built up so I did some ear drop thingys to destroy the wax only that didnt work.

My ear works now but I have to open it up with my finger.

Its like its trying to stick together ..

This sounds like something you might wanna go get checked out...no one here is qualified to diagnose you in this manner...all anyone here can say is what it "could" be. But you won't know for sure until you have it looked at, at least.

I will see how it goes. At the moment its fine but I dont know when it wil decide to close again.

those ear wax thingies don't always get all the wax out in one shot. I would go and see an ENT or audiologist. They can look all the way in and remove all the wax with a special tool. It also could be that you might have some swollenness in your ear.

No matter what you do - don't stick something in your ear to try to fix it yourself!
