Last night on my way home from work I decided to stop in my local thrift store. I hit a gold mine. I got a smaller FP for $4, a hand held blender for $3 and a salad spinner for $5. I was going to buy an ice cream maker for $5 but I decided against it at the last minute.

Anyway moral of the story... Check out your thrift stores for some great deals on appliances. I used the small FP last night and it worked fabulous. Most of the items are pretty ancient but all the better because honestly in my experience the older stuff works better, last longer and is more durable (my blender I use was given to my parents as a wedding present in 1972 - it still works like a champ) hahahaha

I will def be hitting the thrift stores weekly!

That's a good idea! I want a second food processor and a mini one too for small jobs. I hate using the big one for small items...it's a pain in the neck.
