lol.
ive been posting so much on hemp lately,
suddenly everyones interested :D haha

hemp protein powder is made from the ground up hemp seeds.
it will not be made from sprouted ones,
but hemp seeds neither need to be soaked or sprouted before eating so dont worry.

the brilliant thing about it is that its a whole food,
while other "protein powders" are isolates, ew.
it contains every essential amino acid.

with the powder much of the oils have been pressed out,
just like with cacao powder.
hemp oil IS fantastic,
since it has THE ideal balance of omegas 3 & 6,
as needed in the human body.
so,while i eat hemp protein powder everyday,
i also eat the seeds and/or the oil every day as well.
the powder still does have SOME fats.

hmmm....
i stick it in smoothies,
mostly i just eat it with bananas. MM! try it. GORGEOUS combo.
im sure it would work well in many recipes,
maybe where nut flour is called for.
i dont make a lot of recipes,
but it does have a gorgeous nutty taste so give it a try!

mm

<3

honestly,
i want to start a hemp business.
i love love LOVE the stuff,
ones of my FAVOURITE foods
(plus i love to wear it.... use hemp paper... hemp body products.........)
its a big legal process,
but my boyfriend is an organic farmer and is getting more land,
and we were talking about it :)

ENJOY!

love,
liliu.

i love hemp lol

hemp oil is my new found favorite oil.
i put it in alot of stuff, but salad dressing is where i think it really shines.
it's so light and yummy.

Hi Aililiu -

just curious....why don't hempseeds need to be sprouted like all other seeds?

Hi Aililiu -

just curious....why don't hempseeds need to be sprouted like all other seeds?

the hulled ones shouldnt sprout because they are usually sterilized so that people dont go around growing their own as it is illegal. (sadly)
the hemp hearts dont need to be soaked because of the high fat content... just like macadamias or cashews dont need to be soaked.

convenient AND delicious ;)
