.. that my hemoglobin is better than that of most nonvegetarian women who eat red meat and all that crap that's supposed to combat anemia!

All she knows of my diet is that I don't eat meat. When I first started seeing her she was pushing eggs, peanut butter, beans, etc. She told me "You can only eat so much broccoli!" Didn't bother telling her I'm eating nothing but fresh produce!

Anyway, it amused me. :D

I know, I considered it! Maybe I'll tell her after I deliver. Meantime I'm nodding and smiling. I don't want to get an I-told-you-so if something happens to go wrong.

I've been a vegetarian since I was 17 yrs. old...almost 20 years. I have NEVER had a problem with low iron, or any of the other stuff that my meat eating friends (who have had babies) have had.....
