I have not posted in awhile because I have been very busy with nursing school.
I just found out on Wednesday that my 32 yr old sister, Tanya, has IDC Breast Cancer. This is very ironic because we have no history of cancer in our family, it is breast cancer awareness month and she is so young with no history of illness.
She will be going in for surgery Nov. 9 to have some lymph nodes removed to see exactly what stage the cancer is.
She, along with all of us who love her, is very scared because of the limbo and uncertainty that is her life right now. Also, she has does not have the internet, so I was wondering if anyone here could post their stories and experiences with breast cancer so I can print them out and send them to her so she does not feel so alone.
Thank you all so much :)

Hello Annemarie,
I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. My husband is an 18yr cancer survivor (or Live-er, as he says :) ) and has a wealth of information about fighting cancer, because he took charge of his own health 16 years ago. Since you do have internet, I can give you a couple of excellent sites to read to get wonderful information.
First one - http://www.energygrid.com/health/cancer-cure.html
Also, a great discussion board - http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/never_do_harm_to_anyone/
Also, if your sister would like to talk to him, he is always willing to talk with anyone that's fighting cancer. It is his passion to help others win this battle.
You can pm me for our phone number, if you're interested.
Best wishes,
Pam/Coonlie

Hi there
First off, best of luck with your sister.
I have read many, many, many things about strongly related deoderants and breast cancers. So throw out everything your sister has that isn't 100% natural. Thorw it out, burn it, send it to hell because it is death apparently. We stick our deoderants in our armpits and that's where lymph nodes are (here's a really good picture: http://www.bocaradiology.com/Procedures/Sentinel_node/Sentinel%20Node1.jpg).
There have been scientific experiments done to show exactly what these infected lymph nodes consist of, and on a countless number of occasions there have always been parabens and all that other gunky crap that everyday-used deoderants are made of. It's sad really, really sad.
That's all I really know that I can contribute with? That and to make sure she remains positive and raw.
Again, best of luck and keep posting.

Hi Annemarie,
I'm sorry to hear that your sister is going through this right now. And I hope that she is open to raw foods and holistic options. Although I have not gone through this myself, you might want to look at:
http://www.livingfoodsinstitute.com/aboutus.htm
This institute was founded by Brenda Cobb, and their "about us section" states:
Brenda's Story
This is not your typical before and after story. This is the testimony of one woman’s all natural total healing from cancer and how she turned her personal health crisis into a gift for the world.
In 1999 Brenda Cobb was diagnosed with breast and cervical cancer. Her doctor said she would be doctor dead in 6 months to a year if she didn’t do surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. She didn’t do anything the doctor recommended and she still healed completely!
How did she do it? Brenda nourished her body with organic raw and living foods, detoxified and cleansed her colon, lymphatic system and blood; cleared out and healed emotional stuff she had buried inside and in six months she was completely healed! Brenda used to be plagued with allergies, arthritis, obesity, depression, chronic fatigue, headaches and skin problems, but now that is all in the past. Today she is vibrantly healthy and radiant!
Her mission is to teach as many people as possible how to restore and maintain the most optimum health by eating organic raw and living foods, detoxification and emotional healing. She is recognized as a foremost leader, healer and teacher in the raw and living foods movement. Many thousands of people have taken her classes, workshops and seminars and their testimonies are awe-inspiring.
She has authored many books, made numerous television and radio appearances and has taught hundreds of classes about good health and healing naturally. She is a dynamic and charismatic woman who is certain to inspire you to become educated and enlightened and to take care of your most valuable asset, your health!
Brenda says, “I know that complete healing is possible when a person has real faith and belief. There is no disease that cannot be healed! It is imperative people learn how to properly take care of their health. Many people don’t do better because they don’t know better. When a person becomes educated in exactly what to do, the possibilities are limitless. Everyone can have good health!”
I hope this helps. And I pray that your sister will beat this and live a vibrant and long life.
Much luv,
VOL

Two words:
GREEN SMOOTHIES
Cancer feeds on unhealthy cells. Get her eating and drinking as much fresh and healthy as she can NOW - do colonics - NOW. Do not hesitate. It CAN be reversed!!!
Don't be pressured by the docs. Do YOUR homework!
I agree with green smoothies and also juicing too. She should include a lot of meditation, prayer and LAUGHTER. Laughing is so healthy. I am a nurse aide and also going to nursing school like yourself. I am always laughing at work and getting my residents to laugh. The girl in Crazy, Sexy, Cancer is into rawfoods and stressfree living. She was on Oprah last week.

I don't have cancer.. and I am not sure if I ever did.. but I had 2 breast lumps. I am now 25. I was 23 with my first lump. I had the first one removed. It was a huge fatty tumor.. the size of 2 dates put together.. gross.. the 2nd one went away after I was raw! Good luck.

miachris,
Survivor--ten years out. Had first stage breast cancer, caught early. Is your sister's ductal or lobular? When I got my diagnosis, was terrified, but an avid reader and researcher so did lots of digging for information on ALL fronts. Accessed some medical libraries, checked treatment options in the US and what was being done in Europe (most progressive and impressive--do some checking before committing to drastic, life altering decisions).
This is important--unless your sister's cancer is particularly virulant, she has time to do her research. My loving advice to her is that she take the time and effor to do so as she will be making her decisions as part of this research. When I was diagnosed, the centinal node removal was a clinical trial and I remain thankful that I had this over the mass removal of whatever the MD grabs from your lymph nodes (which will leave a woman with extremely high lymphodema issues). This is important for the function of the affected arm for the rest of your life. Find a caring MD who works with you and answers all your questions. Don't settle for lack of bedside manners.
So many women turned to me and offered my their sage advice--garnered from their experiences either mastectomy or the chemo/radiation/lympth check route. If there is anything I could offer, please post here and I will be happy to forward my private email. Am not a medical professional, but will be happy to direct to some helpful and infomative resources.

Brian Clement, et al, also run a health institute in Florida, which, I believe, is the one started by Ann Wigmore, the mother of the modern raw food movement. Brian has a book [U]Living foods for Optimum Health[U]available through rawfood.com
Good luck to your sister.
Lorraine Day is an MD who also refused invasive or pharmaceutical treatment. seh has a website and a few DVDs on her story and the lesons learned from it. I've seen one of them, and can only guess that the others are also about eating lots of natural raw foods.

Read her story-also look at the link they have found between iodine depletion and breast cancer. ONe of the more effective treatments nowadays is iodine supplementation.

...and Vitamin D
Hello,
Look up the story of 'Rene Caisse' online and buy some 'Essiac tea.' She was Canadas caner nurse and found out about the tea when bathing an elderly woman who had scar tissue on her breast. The old lady told her the story of how she took the tea and the cancer came out of her breast and she had been clear of it for the rest of her life. There is too much to tell here, but Rene Caisse cured herself and her mother of cancer, and a lot of others as well. The tea tastes like , I suppose, nettle tea. It is the sheeps sorrel that dissolves the cancer cells. I will pray for your sister.

I bought one of those mineral bars that are a deodorant substitute. IT WORKS. There are no bad things in it at all. www.iHerb.com sell them I got mine from an ebay shop called 'Mother Natures goodies' for £4 something. It looks like a clear bar of soap. You wet it and then apply.

I watched Oprah one day (I usually don't, but the title got my attention: What would you do if you found out you had Stage Four Cancer?) Anyway, this gal actually reversed her cancer by going raw. She wrote a book about it too, and I think it was just released, or will be released soon. Hers is an amazing story. One of the funny things she said during the show was, "I used to drink martinis - now I drink green juice." It was very inspirational, and she even made a movie/documentary as well. There is so much we can do to prevent and even reverse disease just by eating raw...
