Where has this month gone?!;)
Can ya'll feel it? The tension, the excitement in the air? No, I'm not talking about Christmas. I'm talking about the DECEMBER CHALLENGE! It's only two days away folks! Aren't ya'll excited? I know I am!:D
Here are a few things I made over the past couple of days to nosh on with the family:
Alissa's cucumber dip
The Banana Cream Pie from Alissa's book
Eggless Egg Salad from the Rawvolution book
The Carrot Raisin Crunch from Alissa's book
Today I'll be making some more yummies!:D
So, how's everyone else doing? Oh, and I'm bouncing off the walls this morning. Which is crazy, cause I've been sick for like four days, and I still have all the symptoms of it this morning, but I'm STILL bouncing!
Gotta love raw!:D

Almost done!
I've been back from vaca for a day now and after not eating nuts for a week, yep you guessed it I totally pigged out on nuts last night. Its all good. I am definitely on the hunt for more no-nut recipes but I have found that eating simply is so much easier, but it seems that when I am in my house I always have temptation, even if it is for raw food.
Its all good. One month down!

I agree with you 100%, solonggoodnight....
I think the focus of next month's challenge for me is to cut back on concentrated fats a LOT...(eating late, too.... argh) can't control myself!! Soo..... Starting now (it's close enough to December, right?;) ) I'm going to focus on the greens, veggies, and fruits, with some coconut, flax, and avocado.
Peace, ya'll! (as they say here in JOR-JAH)

Shine,
Yes, I sure do feel it in the air. So glad you are feeling more energetic--it's hard being down sometimes, kind of like so much to do and so little time.
Started Michael's 14 day cleanse this morning, which I purchased last month and forgot about. Wow, sure adding a lot to my daily lineup--oil pulling, dry skin brushing, consuming 1-2 T coconut oil, flushing with netty pot to keep my allergies in check and now a cleanse. Glad to be treating myself with more loving care and the result is already being reflected back in better health.
Hope everyone has a great raw day.

Hey everybody - thank you for your positive energy!
I'm sick ... or detoxing I'm not sure which, and yall are helping me SO much! My voice is back, so I am happy to be able to speak again :D
I've been quite anxious of late, and also craving cooked foods like crazy - especially pasta and rice, and still I am sticking to raw. I know cooked won't be good tasting, it just looks SO good - I will indulge in looks and smells - yesterday was day 60 for me - woot woot, so I can't turn back now, raw has been so good to me, and my inspiration has been going up ... right now it feels like I'm on a rollercoaster and going down a bit, but I know this is just part of it. I'm making my first batch of kale chips today hopefully that treat will help me to feel on the up and up again.
Have a great day - and I'll see you in December if not sooner!
Oh, I've been so lax at posting, but I've been keeping it raw. I'm currently hooked on marinated greens. I'm lazy, so I bought the bag of washed turnip greens and marinated the whole humongous thing! Will be eating on it for about three days. Love them!

Hi guys
Been lax about posting too, I've done ok but could do much better. My goal next month is to have more 100% days than this month. I cant go totally 100% at the moment as i'm training for a marathon and cant have the time off for detox but if i can keep it at 80-90% it will be great.
Signing up now!

Sunluvva - would you mind mentioning in your posts every so often how you are doing with raw and training for a marathon? That would be interesting, and inspirational, to know that you are successful at the training while being raw! Good luck to you.

Today I got up and did oil pulling for the first time, after reading about it on this forum...
Then I drank a tall glass of lemon water and glass of kombucha/fresh pomegranate juice.
At work I drank a smoothie, ate about 5 clementines, a huge persimmon, 2 kiwis, about 1/2 cup sprouted almonds, maybe 1/3 cup Inca berries, a couple veggie flax crackers with jicama hummus, Alissa's spinach dip & cilantro sprouts, and another smoothie.
After all that, it seems I shouldn't have been hungry when I got home, but I was... so I chopped up a bunch of broccoli florets and half a red bell pepper and tossed it in a sauce of nama shoyu, ginger, scallion, cayanne, nutri-yeast, seaweed powder and a little garlic, then spread it on a teflex in the dehydrator for maybe 1/2 an hour.
Then I hacked open 2 coconuts and we all enjoyed them.
I also ate some kale chips and the banana flax chips I made with my daughter last night. They came out so well! We mixed in holiday spices and they are just delicious.
Looks like I'm the last poster again.... good night from California!

AMAZING. We made it and through a holiday no less. I am really ecstatic. Ill tell ya a really dont even crave SAD food so much anymore. I mean on occasion I do but I find myself craving nuts and banana ice cream way more haha.
I know that the only reason I have gotten over this hurdle was because of you guys on this forum. In the past I could never commit to something without my slip ups. Not counting my raw nut feasts, I didnt slip up once and I am amazed.
People think this is just a phase I am going through but for the first time in my life I am not constantly thinking about food or depriving myself or worrying if I do happen to eat a bit more some days. I LOVE IT! I love you guys. Thanks so much. Cant wait to start DECEMBER!

Cannot believe that this is already the last day of the month. It was so great to have the support here to get through one of the toughest food months (T-day). Sooo looking forward to December and continuing the gift of health to myself as I celebrate being another year older and feeling younger and younger.
Hope to see you all on the December challenge!

Just curious - why don't you want to eat nuts?
This was a great forum to take part of on this new journey. Thank you all for being so inspirational!
